ZA9 (CuZn19Al6MnFe, NFL 14-707) is a wrought unleaded brass designed for aerospace applications. This special aluminium- and iron-reinforced brass exhibits high mechanical properties combined with good anti-friction behaviour and good resistance to oxidation.

It matches stringent aerospace requirements and can be machined into complex parts, its strength and wear resistance make it the material of choice for friction-guidance rings, bushes and bearings in landing-gear systems.
